A BIG SLIP AND BANG WHILE AT WORK

While at work an employee has a slip or fall and gets hurt while on the job. What would be the next thing that needs to happen ? First of all it is important to make sure that the supervisor of that employee is notified so that they can start working on an accident claim. Second thing is make sure that if the person is hurt really bad that nobody moves him or her from the spot. Following these two steps the next thing is to make sure and get the proper medical unit to assist the person as soon as possible. Now if it’s a small cut or injury that the person can leave somebody just needs to help them get to the ER for help. Work Accident procedures should then start after all the Medical assistance has been provided to the employer.

To fill out a Work Accident report it is very important to get all the details from the injured employee as soon as possible. Also want to make sure and ask around in case some bystanders where around at the time and they can also provide information on what possibly happened. Then go over and take a look at the equipment to see if the injury was caused by maybe an equipment failure.

After gathering all of this data it is now important to sit down and start filling out all the proper company paperwork that occur with a Work Accident as most companies must file their reports to people higher up in the management level. Before taking the paper up to the higher ups make sure and have a list of answers to questions that they will probably ask. This should be no problem as long as during the investigation part the supervisor filled out the forms in great detail.

The management will probably for sure ask a few questions. A couple of these questions will for sure be who got hurt? How did that person get hurt? And another question will be was the proper safety equipment in place?
