If I were your dad, I would probably do the same. I mean I completely understand why he had to hamper gifts from your mom. I know that he was just trying to protect you, Anna. Jason tried his best to explain to Anna the circumstances that could have led to her dad's reactions. When your mom left you, your dad saw how devastated you were. It was tough for him to deal with the fact that his wife abandoned him for another man. But nothing could be more painful for him than to see you so affected. It has been ten years since you last heard from your mom. Now, that she's back, you can't expect your dad to be okay with her. Think about it. But Anna argued saying, I know that but she's still my mother. Don't you think I deserve some time with her? I want to get to know her. I want to ask her so many things. If dad could only listen and try to understand... Jason managed to say, Give your dad more time, Anna.
