I have many such messages coming into my LinkedIn mailbox. People are hiring and searching for talents which appear on their LinkedIn search engine. I’ve built my work profile using LinkedIn and have used it extensively for 6 years. Using LinkedIn I found 3 job offers and advanced my career. I have around 200 direct connections which help me finding a job or freelance offers. Using LinkedIn I can fully read other professionals resume online and learn about experience and abilities later with my advancement in my career I would be able to hire them too, for jobs like corporate brochure design and web design and similar. LinkedIn website has information about everyone in the technological industry. Many professionals now understand that it is crucial having an online, well-sustained resume. |

Even with the existence of very valuable things and at an affordable price, people still prefer to trade on the things that they have gotten themselves used to. My parents think that my older brother will end up alone because he is twenty six years old and yet he is not even in a committed relationship with anyone. They just do not know him as much as I know him. His best friend in high school was a girl and they spend a lot of time together. They did everything together and none of them ever dated when they were friends and still stayed in the same city and went to the same school. They always found themselves comparing their dates to each other and they decided not to date. She and her parents moved to another part of the country and that is the last time that I ever saw him with a girl he actually liked. So I decided to look her up and see if she is still single and in the country. I used the Friends Reunited friends website to look for her. I did find her, she was divorced for two years now and i told my brother about it. The liking and affection he had for that particular girl made him search for her and he found her and they are doing very well. |

There is one thing that I have come to learn, if there is something that is bothering me I would rather tackle it head on or talk about it. I have noticed that the lack of talking about matters that are really pressing is what causes me to be very anxious, stressed and most times I find myself releasing my anger on unsuspecting people. Whenever I am stressed out I talk to my bestfriend. We tell each other a lot of things. If we cannot talk face to face we can in turn call each other. The one thing we have vowed not to do is to communicate via social networks like the MySpace social network. The main Problem with MySpace is that it cripples communication. There is a time we used to talk via the site and we missed the important things in life. We could not tell if the other person was anxious or upset over words, something that could easily be noticed via a face to face communication. This has really helped our relationship. |

Recently while exploring the artwork of horror comics from the late 1940's and early 1950's, I happened upon the artist L.B. Cole. His style was instantly recognizable, and distinguished itself from the other artwork featured bright colors, patterns, and brilliant use of contrast invoked images of later 60's psychedelia. Upon further reading, this was in fact the case he is commonly thought to be the originator of the style. Yet the art wasn’t meant for any mind bending purposes beyond the horror and morbid interest it invokes. Cole describes his use of bright colors simply to be attention grabbers, to make his covers pop out in the sea of pulp comics around it. His work, while meant to portray menacing scenes, is beautiful and complex, yet simple at the same time. Like most artistic geniuses his skill makes the art work on multiple levels, just like that of a modern Banksy street art piece while staying accessible to his target audience, the removal of the cover titles would allow the art to lend itself to critical appreciation. Monsters and scenes of despair and "horror" fill up the covers, yet the beauty is there to behold, the beauty of an art movement on the cusp. |
