My favorite handbag is my black Coach handbag – it is versatile, stylish, and can hold my whole life in it if I want. I bought it as a gift for myself a few years ago back then I carried my costume jewellery in a clutch, but I just needed something bigger. I was working hard and had a little extra money to spend while on vacation. When I spotted it, it was love at first sight! Then, when I placed it on my shoulder to try it on, I knew I needed to have it. Since then, we have been inseparable. My handbag goes with me everywhere I go, from the grocery store to across the country on a business trip. It holds my essentials (make-up, tissues, cell phone, etc.) and my non-essentials (my guilty pleasure book, several pieces of gum, business cards). It looks a bit worn out because of all the use it has gotten, but I would not trade it in for anything. It is THE perfect handbag for me and I am glad that I found it. |

My favorite piece of jewelry is a beaded necklace I made three years ago. It consists of a long strand of green glass leaves set apart by small red wooden beads. It matches any outfit because the red is a deep red and the green leaves have multiple shades of green within each leaf. The style is versatile because the strand is so long it can be worn as a long necklace resting against my chest or it can be knotted to shorten it. I can also double the loop around my neck to form multiple strands. I get a lot of compliments each time I wear it out of the house. I always mention that I made it and where I bought the materials. Most towns, no matter the size will have a bead shop. Even Wal-Mart has started carrying a small assortment of beads in their craft section. Start by finding something that will match a specific outfit and work from there. |

I love my slipper socks because they are so comfortable and they just hug my feet and make them feel refreshed - they're my favourite type of shoes. After I take a bath in the evening, I put cocoa butter on my feet and put on a pair of cushy socks and my slipper socks. They conform to my feet perfectly, and they have very flexible rubber soles. I wear them all evening before bed. They are soft and flexible enough that I can curl up in my comfy chair without taking them off, yet I can also step outside if I need to without damaging them because of the rubber sole. When I have to work an overnight shift at work, I just fold them up and put them in my purse. When everyone is gone, I can take them out and put them on and be comfortable all night. If they get dirty, I can just toss them in the wash and let them air dry. My slipper socks are the best, and they only cots about $9. I’ve had them for years, but if they ever wear out, I will definitely buy some more. In fact, I think I’ll buy some more right now! They come in lots of colors, and who knows? They might stop making them! |
