Food poisoning is my greatest fear. I have been through that several times and I have not gotten used to the disgusting discomfort that accompanies food poisoning. My recent food poisoning came from a party that served hog roasts. I loved the hog roast and I ate a lot of it. I have had hog roast before and I never got a reaction from it so I did not understand why I was getting the reaction. I remember after the party that night I got several bouts of nausea. That was really unusual. After a while I started puking and that is when I went down. I was so dehydrated because I was losing a lot of body fluids. My stomach was in so much pain, I thought it had an issue with me. It would not stop cramping, sitting or even standing up right was a big problem. The thing that led me to the hospital was a fever that I developed. I was admitted for a few hours until I got better. Eating at that point seemed very dangerous. |

Simple can be quite elegant when it comes to pretty cake decorations and you can come up with these using very simple cake decorating techniques. Frosted cakes can be dusted with powdered sugar through stencils. You can create a theme or a geometric design on top of your cake. Think about paper snowflakes you made as a kid, you can draw something that would fit on your cake and use it as a stencil for a unique power dusted cake design.
You can also purchase ready-to-use cake toppers and decorations. There are a lot of these available in every theme imaginable. There are candy flowers, shape sprinklers, letters and you can even use small toys such as cars and figures on top of your cake to make it more detailed.
An especially tasty-looking cake can be achieved simply by using candies, nuts, chocolate shavings or desiccated coconuts as sprinkles. You can also make use of fresh fruits such as strawberry slices or create an elaborate design with some other fruits. |
