My first trip out of my country was to India.

posted on 18 October 2011

My first trip out of UK was to India. My uncle was living in India and after high school he invited me to visit his family. I was very happy. Since I was seventeen already, I went to apply for my own passport to India. I had all the passport documents that were being required thanks to my mum, who was very supportive to me. I had to wait for about two weeks for my passport to be processed. Within that period, my mum and I were up and about, trying to learn a few things here and there about India. I wanted to have a great time in India. After learning that, I went to pack a few things. I was planning to purchase some clothes in India since it seemed that their outfit was better than what we wore in my country. The saris were what I wanted to wear when I was in India. When my passport was finally delivered, I applied for a visa and I scheduled my trip for the following day. I had so much fun, just like I had imagined.

The Importance of An Accident Insurance To A Single Mom

posted on 10 September 2011

Being a single mother is both difficult and satisfying. Difficult obviously because you are the only one supporting your child and acting for two but fulfilling as well because you get to realize how much you are able to accomplish if you set your mind into something. Nevertheless, I know that I have to make sure that my son will be alright should anything happen to me that is why I have an accident insurance plan. It may not be enough to fully cover my daughter but at least I know that should I suddenly get hit by a bus or get into a car accident or something that my son will be taken cared of somehow. Nothing is certain about life that is why it doesn’t hurt being prepared. But then again although I have this kind of policy, I hope and pray everyday that I will be alive until my son is able to fulfill his goals in life on his own.

How I realized that travelling was my thing.

Almost everyone around me likes to travel. In my company, every employee has at least one chance of going out of the country because we have branches outside UK and we need to keep connected all the time. This is where most of us have grown fond of travelling. When I first came to this company, I did not know that I will be travelling a lot. I did not have a passport. After two months in the job, I was told to prepare myself for a trip to Denmark. I had to get a passport in a hurry. Since I did not know so much about passport application process especially for urgent passports, I sought the advice of passport information center. There, I was directed on what to do and I had my passport withing two days. I was able to travel as it was scheduled. I have so far traveled to many countries outside our country, and I am yet to explore the whole world. Travelling has now become my thing, a desire I never thought I had before.
